Former Nigerian Super Eagles midfielder, Mikel Obi has stirred reactions as he drops jaw dropping revelations about Nigerian footballers and family culture.
The now retired footballer and ex-Chelsea star, revealed via a recent interview that when Nigerian footballers make money abroad, it isn’t for themselves, but for their family.
This was revealed via a recent interview with Manchester United legend, Roy Keane, where Mikel Obi opened up about the challenges his faces with family people over wealth he made from football.
John Obi expressed how when he made money, he was taking care of his sister who had gotten married and her children. He also revealed that when he had gotten enough and couldn’t continue training her and other of his extended family members, he was threatened by them, saying that they’ll tell the press that he doesn’t want to help them.
