A Nigerian man living abroad recounts how his mother, during a visit to the US was outraged upon seeing her son, engaged in domestic task of cooking and cleaning dishes in the kitchen for his American wife.
Appalled by this, the mother proceeded to express her disapproval union towards her daughter-in-law, even going so far as to demand that the man’s brother divorce his American spouse.
The man himself, however, revealed that he too performs similar household chores for his own wife, and even more so, indicating that his mother’s perception of such actions as unacceptable or bewitched was misguided.
